Real Madrid will have Vinicius Junior available for their Supercopa de Espana semifinal against Mallorca on January 9.

The Brazil star was given a two-game suspension after being sent off against Valencia for shoving goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski in Madrid’s 2-1 win last week.

Although the Spanish football federation issued a punishment, Madrid having been unsuccessful in their appeal, the ban only applies to Los Blancos’ next two La Liga matches. That means Vinicius is clear to play against Mallorca, and in the final should his team progress.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti otherwise has a largely fully fit squad for the trip to Saudi Arabia, where they will attempt to defend the title they won in 2024 and draw level with Barcelona in terms of all-time Supercopa trophies.

Ancelotti made several changes for the 5-0 Copa del Rey win at Deportivo Minera last time out, but he restores his regulars for this game. That includes star forwards Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe, alongside fellow goal hawk Rodrygo.

With such a strong, first-choice lineup selected by Ancelotti, it means Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler must be satisfied with a place on the bench.

Real Madrid starting line-up (4-2-3-1, right to left): Courtois (GK) — Vazquez, Tchouameni, Rudiger, Mendy — Valverde, Camavinga — Rodrygo, Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. — Mbappe.

Injured: Carvajal (knee), Militao (knee).Suspended: None.

Vedat Muriqi and Cyle Larin start together in attack for Mallorca, with coach Jagoba Arrasate sticking with the 4-4-2 that served his side well against Celta Vigo and Getafe, two of the club’s La Liga wins in December.

The boss does make one change, however, as Daniel Rodriguez comes into the midfield in place of Antonio Sanchezwho does not even find himself a spot on the bench.

Mallorca boast a sparkling clean bill of health, with no fitness concerns to worry about. Bench threats include Japan international Takuma Asano should they be chasing the game late.

Mallorca starting lineup (4-4-2, right to left): Greif (GK) — Maffeo, Valjent, Raillo, Mojica — D. Rodroguez, Morlanes, Mascarell, Darder — Larin, Muriqi.
