The Prince and Princess of Wales have issued a message of support to Team GB as the Paralympic Games get underway.
Taking to their official Instagram account, Prince William and Kate wrote on their Stories: “Looking forward to another few weeks of sport.
“Wishing the very best of luck to Team GB’s athletes and all those competing at Paris 2024.”

Team GB previously performed exceedingly well in the delayed 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, taking home an impressive 124 medals – including gold medals in 12 different sports.
The message comes just weeks after Prince William and Kate recorded a video to celebrate Team GB’s success in the Olympic Games. Wearing casual attire, the rare video appearance saw Kate wish “congratulations to Team GB”.
In the clip, the princess wore a white long-sleeve top with navy Breton stripes, plus a dainty gold necklace. She wore her hair down, side-parted and straight, with natural make-up.
William, who surprised many by sporting a short beard, added: “Well done on all you have achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
Kate’s message comes as she continues her preventative treatment for her form of cancer. The royal revealed her diagnosis back in March via an emotional video statement, which was shared on Kensington Palace’s social media accounts.
She has since made some public appearances, including attending the Wimbledon final with her daughter, Princess Charlotte.
More recently, she was seen attending a church service alongside her family at Crathie Kirk church, near the royal family’s Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
