Oasis fans will be scrambling to nab tickets to the group’s 2025 reunion tour this morning, as the general sale begins today.

The British rock band announced their long-awaited reunion on Tuesday (27 August), with brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher set to join one another onstage for the first time since their split in 2009.

Tickets for the UK tour dates will go on general sale at 9am on Saturday 31 August and be available from ticketmaster.co.uk, gigsandtours.com, and seetickets.com. Dublin tickets will available from 8am that same day from www.ticketmaster.ie.

Oasis have issued a warning against reselling tickets at inflated prices on websites not linked to their promoter, saying they will be “cancelled”. Moments after the presale on Friday, some tickets were listed for thousands of pounds on secondary ticketing sites such as StubHub and Viagogo.

The band announced additional dates in Manchester, London and Edinburgh earlier this week, due to overwhelming demand.

Sales of Oasis’s back catalogue have surged by more than six times the number the previous week, amid huge demand ahead of their comeback concert tickets going on sale, according to HMV.

The entertainment retailer said it also witnessed a jump in pre-orders for the band’s 30th anniversary edition of their Definitely Maybe album, which was released on Friday.

HMV said the announcement has sparked demand for the band’s back catalogue and its latest release.

This week, sales across its full catalogue of records and CDs was 526% higher than during the previous week at HMV.

Sales of their Definitely Maybe LP rose by 443% week on week, while What’s The Story (Morning Glory) and Knebworth 1996 rose 684% and 209% respectively.

The retailer added that pre-orders for Oasis’s 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe were double compared with where they were a week earlier.

Oasis ticket prices were announced after three more dates were added in Manchester, London and Edinburgh for the Britpop band’s reunion tour.

A seat to watch the band at London’s Wembley Stadium begins at £74.25, with the most expensive ticket a £506.25 pre-show party, exhibition and seated package.

The cheapest seats are Cardiff’s Principality Stadium shows, which will set you back £73, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium at £74, according to Manchester-based promoter SJM Concerts, which runs the website Gigs And Tours.

Before the announcement for UK shows, Irish promoters MCD said on its website that the price of both of the two Croke Park gigs in Dublin will start at 86.50 euros (£72.75) without booking fees.

In the band’s home city of Manchester, tickets start from £148.50, with only standing available alongside a number of hospitality and luxury packages.

Standing tickets at Wembley will cost fans £151.25, with the same tickets in Cardiff and Edinburgh slightly cheaper at £150 and £151 respectively.

Oasis have ruled out a sensational return to Worthy Farm putting an end to growing rumours that the band were intending on crowning their reunion with a headline slot at Glastonbury.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher officially buried the hatchet after an infamous backstage bust-up ahead of a 2009 festival date led to their split, setting the stage for a lucrative European tour in 2025.

Over the last 15 years, the musicians have repeatedly fielded – and fuelled – reports of a reunion, and will now perform together for a run of 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer. Pre-sale ballots are now open.

After Oasis’s forthcoming tour dates were revealed on Tuesday (27 August), many fans speculated the group could play Glastonbury, which is due to take place from 25 to 29 June 2025.

Here’s what they’ve said in response to that…

Not all women who remember the 90s look back as fondly as the beered-up who blokes defined it, says Ashley Davies.

“I’m not blaming Oasis directly (nor am I critiquing their music here), but, like a few other lad bands, they did seem to attract a heck of a lot of blokes who didn’t respect women.”

Friday 30 August 2024 22:04 , Tom Murray

“We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale,” the band said on social media.

Will resold tickets be available on Ticketmaster?

Friday 30 August 2024 20:02 , Tom Murray

According to the Ticketmaster website:

Ticketholders can resell their tickets from Monday 2nd September through Ticketmaster or Twickets only. The tour has put this policy in place to cap ticket resale prices to combat price inflation and prevent ticket touting and bots. Selling tickets on unauthorised resale platforms breaches the promoter’s terms and conditions and may result in those tickets being cancelled. Therefore, they strongly recommend buying and selling tickets only through Ticketmaster or Twickets.

Noel Gallagher’s daughter calls out ‘ageism and misogyny’ among some Oasis fans

Friday 30 August 2024 16:21 , Maira Butt

Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais has hit out at a section of Oasis fans for “ageism” and “misogyny”, as a desperate scramble for tickets has led to some rancour among the band’s fanbase.

On Tuesday (27 August), the Mancunian group announced they would be reuniting, 15 years after an explosive split between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.

Following the reconciliation, some on social media complained about young women “jumping on the bandwagon” to buy tickets for the concerts, leading to older fans missing out.

Anais, 24, wrote in a comment on TikTok, “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.

“Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there, I will have my friendship bracelets ready.”

Fans celebrate (and commiserate) after finding out if they were selected for the pre-sale ballot

Friday 30 August 2024 16:01 , Roisin O’Connor

Fans have now been sent their ticket ballot codes after being granted access to the Oasis pre-sale taking place today (30 August).

The lucky recipients of confirmation emails took to social media to celebrate, sharing notices that said the pre-sale would begin this evening from 7pm until 10pm BST.

“Get in man,” one fan shared on X/Twitter. “Thought it was a scam! Haha buzzing.”

“Felt Biblical to receive this,” another fan said, tagging Liam Gallagher, as one simply wrote: “THANK YOU LORD.”

Other fans weren’t so fortunate and shared their upset while warning others not to get “cocky” after getting through the ballot.

“No email for me, but the last few pre-sales I’ve had including for [Liam Gallagher] have been a total disaster, so don’t get cocky yet folks,” one wrote.
